The NYPD says a 65-year-old woman is recovering after being accidentally shot Sunday morning at the Flatbush Gardens complex.

The suspect fled in a black sedan.

It's the second shooting at the complex in just three months.

A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed at the same location in April.

And on June 11, an 85-year-old woman was also accidentally shot while sitting outside on the corner of Brooklyn and Foster avenues.

Elite learners Inc. is ramping up community efforts.

"This is heartbreaking, and it can't continue," said CEO Camara Jackson. "We have to protect and serve our women, our men, our children."

The group says they plan to canvass the area, support the victim's family and push for more resources for the neighborhood.
